Schools are out for summer!

Another school year is over and the kids are home for the Summer holidays. This could be the time of year when insanity creeps in, so we have put together a few ideas to help you to stay sane this Summer:
?? Plan ahead: Planned activities prevent boredom. Check out your local Library Facebook Page as they often have activities, storytelling sessions, and reading challenges for children of all ages.
?? Breaks prevent burnout so it's perfectly fine to take some time out to read, watch tv or a film, or even have an afternoon nap. Don't forget to balance screen time with outdoor play, reading, and creative hobbies.
?? Exercise will boost the mood so get out for a walk, take a bike ride, or play a game in the garden, we love rounders or badminton.
?? Why not try a new hobby like painting, learning an instrument, cooking or baking. Why not set up an arts and crafts corner at home where the kids can paint, draw, make collages, or create DIY projects. You can find plenty of inspiration and tutorials online.
?? Plan some get-togethers with friends or family who live further afield, pack a picnic and meet halfway or take a train ride to the seaside or into the City.
?? Pitch a tent in your backyard and create a mini camping experience for your kids. You can have a barbecue, tell stories, stargaze, and sleep under the stars. It's a great way to enjoy the outdoors without leaving home.
Remember, everyone's definition of "sane" and enjoyable holidays may vary, so it's essential to find activities and routines that work best for you.
